Tailored for You!

Several organisations have asked me to tailor my talk for their specific needs. Please email me if there are any specific topics which you would like me to speak on.
Below is a detailed look at some of my previous talks. All these talks were a success as reflected in the Feedback section

Primary School Talk

I have rewritten my talk specifically for primary school children. It does not go into as much depth and it is based on personal experience. It addresses the question, What Is Disability? It also includes two games for the children to play, one uses the principles of hangman and the other one is a simple quiz. The objective of the talk is to make the children realise that I am a person just like them. The talks have been a success.

Hour Talk

I have developed a standard hour talk which includes a practical and fun exercise aimed at making people realise some of the difficulties I face every day . It also includes a quiz which I devised.

My audience enjoying my exercise!

Organisation Connexions Duration 30 minutes

I was fortunate enough to be invited to do a presentation with Scope. The presentation was aimed at personal advisors who work for the Connexions service. After doing some basic research, I gained information on their work and they primarily work with young people, aged up to 24 years olds. I prepared by thinking about my younger days! and what I would had found helpful if I had a personal advisor. The presentation was very successful.

Organisation Kodak Duration 30 minutes

Kodak invited me to talk at a staff meeting for Human Resource managers. I adapted my presentation and looked at the employment section of the Disability Discrimination Act. I used personal experience to show how my disability does not prevent me from being in paid employment.

Church Services

My minister asked me to do a church service on disability this was a great success. In addition to speaking on the topics which I cover in my general talks I gave my testimony and included some of the worship songs which speak to me. Following this service I received many positive comments and was approached by another church to lead part of their Sunday morning service.
